The Museum and Library of Hungarian Agriculture is the largest museum of agriculture in Europe, and has been welcoming visitors for over 120 years. It is located in central Budapest. Its building, the romantic castle designed by Ignácz Alpár, was named by visitors after the castle of Vajdahunyad in Transylvania.Our museum has a uniquely rich collection representing the history of Hungarian agriculture dating back to more than a thousand years. Our libraries keep more than half a million publications. The unique Georgikon Manor Museum in Keszthely, the Farm Museum in Lajosmizse and the Folk House in Cece welcome visitors who want to learn about the past and present of Hungarian agriculture.New and particularly interesting exhibitions and artefacts are presented to visitors in the Blaskovich Museum at Tápiószele, a new branch of our museum.
