n 2004, four boys had the first BlackBirds concert on the stage of a pub Budapest which was very much like the Cavern Club, with several invitations to follow. Concerts were held in towns, at country-side festivals and company events; the band kept touring in the country and thus it came to be broadcasted by highly rated media channels, as well. The invite to the Beetle Week in Liverpool (2007) came shortly after, where The Blackbirds, as the first Hungarian invitee ever, performed successfully during the 7 concerts in merely three days. The invitation to the prestigious festival was reiterated for the editions organized in 2008, 2009, 2015 and 2016.
The intention of the band is to revive the atmosphere of the legendary Beatles concerts, authenticity of the sound being ensured by the original Epiphone and Fender guitars, by a Höfner bass guitar and the Ludwig drum-set, as well as the old, Fender and VOX tube amplifiers. However, none of the aforementioned would have been sufficing without the respectful and humble attitude towards whatever The Beatles has been – the love for the Beatles and for music, as a whole, rendering truthfulness to the production itself.
